Pretentious and humble brunchers alike are sure to feel at home in Agave, a Mexican restaurant located in Greenwich Village (140 7th Ave S) offering the bottomless brunch that so many New Yorkers are accustomed to. For $32.99, you can choose from the massive menu of breakfast items ranging from southwestern eggs Benedict (genuinely unbeatable) to cinnamon brioche French toast and have the option of bottomless mimosas, wine, or frozen margaritas for a 2 hour period. Other delectable menu items include a skirt steak served with eggs and potatoes (4$ extra), huevos rancheros, a sunrise fiesta burrito, and herb speckled egg scramble, as well as several other egg options. If you’re the type of person who would prefer to eat your calories rather than drink them, the breakfast options are also available outside of the bottomless brunch special for 14$. I would definitely recommend getting the southwestern eggs Benedict if you want a heartier meal, as it comes with fruit and potatoes on the side, compared to the French toast which unfortunately isn’t a particularly large meal. The waiters are all very friendly and accommodating (even refraining from commenting when a friend broke her glass) and the food and drinks are served promptly. The actual restaurant is much larger than it first appears, and outdoor and indoor seating are both available, but be sure to call ahead to make reservations as Agave is extremely popular, especially for brunch. Even the surrounding area is appealing, with little coffeeshops nestled into street corners, cute ice cream shops sprawled throughout the village, and easy access to clothing stores for post-brunch shopping. If you’re craving a classic brunch with a Mexican twist, Agave is definitely the place to try.
