For a classic brunch with hipster vibes (egg baked into an avocado, anyone?), check out The Flying Cock Pub. The menu’s full of all the staples that you’d expect for brunch, from classic eggs benedict to banana chocolate chip pancakes, with unexpected Instagram-worthy meals, like the breakfast waffle sandwich (bacon, fried egg, cheese, and avocado sandwiched between Belgium waffles), chorizo breakfast tacos, and the increasingly trendy avocado toast. Of course, being in NYC, there’s the option for bottomless brunch, with 15$ getting you 90 minutes of as many mimosas (much more wine than orange juice), bloody marys, or bellinis as your heart desires. For those looking to deviate from the norm, Flying Cock also has an array of unheard of drinks, like the Manmosa and the Pancake Shot.

If you want to test out Flying Cock’s brunch for yourself, beware of the unorthodox reservation rules: you can only make a reservation if your party has exactly 15 people; otherwise, a line starts outside of the restaurant at 10:30am and seating becomes available on a first come, first served basis at 11am. IMG_7548The pub is charming and its customers always leave satisfied with both the quick and accommodating service and the absolutely delicious food. While I haven’t tested out the lunch/dinner options offered at Flying Cock, the menus are extensive and I can only imagine the meals taste as amazing as the brunch menu’s do. My friends and I tested out nearly every brunch option, and not one person was not completely content with her choice. If you’re looking for a brunch menu with staples scattered throughout it as well as more intriguing, hipster-y options, The Flying Cock Pub is the place for you.

  2. Hmm it looks like your site ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I submitted and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog. I too am an aspiring blog writer but I’m still new to everything. Do you have any tips and hints for newbie blog writers? I’d definitely appreciate it.
